RADS AWARENESS VIDEO SELECTION
RADS Awareness Trip Across Australia Part 1 CLICK HERE
This video showcases my trip from Torquay, Victoria Australia heading over to Western Australia and staying near the coast line meant my triggers were minimal. It also shows the amazing beaches across some of Australia too!
RADS Awareness Trip Across Australia Part 2 CLICK HERE
This is part 2 of my journey from Western Australia heading back to Torquay, Victoria which was more inland, so I had a lot more challenges along the way with dust and the outback.
RADS Awareness - Dentists & getting my plate made CLICK HERE
I had been asked by other people with RADS how I go about dealing with Dentists and having RADS. So I made a video which highlights the things that did and did not work for me at the Dentist and Denture Technician.
RADS AWARENESS VIDEOS - why I made them
When I first got RADS in 2012 I began filming myself because I was never sure if I was going to make it out of a breathing issue before the paramedics came and I wanted a record to show what was happening in the event I didn't make it. Sounds morbid I know, however I was living alone and it just made sense to me to record what was happening and how my airways were reacting etc.
I kept making videos, however they became logs of my weekly life living with RADS and my trials and errors of trying new methods to overcome or limit my triggers.
Knowing how important education and awareness is and having personally faced the lack of awareness in the medical sector about RADS, I printed thousands of flyers and spoke to Doctors and nurses at 36 hospitals along my trip from one side of Australia to the other. So now many more people at hospitals are aware about RADS and that makes me feel good! Throughout my video you also get to see some great scenery of Australia and that's wonderful!
I hope my videos are useful and helpful to both someone with RADS and the medical and professional sector.
Any assistance in promoting my videos is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
